| Customer Reviews: Absolutely a necessity August 9, 2009 Janet C. Wilson (St Johnsbury, VT USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book is great for me as a FNP in the fast tract of the ED. It is fast, easy and concise. It works great in my Blackberry. A must have for anyone in family medicine and with the ability to put on a blackberry or pda it is a great resource at your fingertips.

The book came as described and is utilized during rotations. It was recommended by a 4th year and only time will tell if it is useful.
Surprise!! Index "off by a few pages" August 26, 2009 Susan W. Hawn (GA, USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this directly from a sales person at a CME meeting--it would have been nice if he had told me that there was an Erratum inside the cover stating that the index WAS WRONG and cut me a large deal on the book.
No algorithm or 5-Minute entry at all for abdominal pain, acute headache, nephrolithiasis, thyroid nodule or goiter among many other common entities. Unlike Ferri, no specific dosages of migraine meds, just general therapeutics so have another reference handy.
If you want good algorithms for common problems check out "Common Medical Diagnoses: An Algorithmic Approach."
